Members may use the built-in Review Dispute Tool provided in the WeddingWire Vendor Member interface to initiate a Review Dispute or send an email to support@weddingwire.com. All Vendor members in receipt of a feedback will have the opportunity to respond publicly to the feedback within the WeddingWire interface. The Review Dispute process can take up to four (4) weeks, depending on the responsiveness of all parties involved.
Once a review is disputed, the following process occurs:
1) The Review is temporarily inactivated and marked “This review is currently being verified” by the system automatically
2) WeddingWire staff is notified
3) WeddingWire staff will reach out to the reviewer within twenty-four (24) hours (during normal business days) with the contact information available in our system to ask for a business contract.
4) Once contacted, the reviewer has seven (7) days to provide the business contract:
-If the business contract is obtained and validated, WeddingWire staff will notify the vendor and the reviewer that a valid contract was obtained, verified, and that the review will be reinstated in two (2) weeks from the date of the notification.
- If the business contract is obtained and unable to be validated, WeddingWire staff will notify the vendor and the reviewer that a valid contract was NOT obtained. The review will be inactivated and removed from the Vendor Storefront. For the reviewer, the review will be marked as “This Review could not be verified” in the “My Vendors” Tool.
- If a business contract is not provided within seven (7) days, WeddingWire staff will notify the vendor and the reviewer that a valid contract was NOT obtained. The review will be inactivated and removed from the Vendor Storefront. For the reviewer, the review will be marked as “This Review could not be verified” in the “My Vendors” Tool.
5) At any time during this process, the vendor can publicly respond to the feedback using the online tool provided.
*Note: WeddingWire staff does not edit reviews: Reviewer can edit/change their review at any time
In order to ensure the timeliness of the Review Dispute process, we encourage all users to provide valid, current contact information and respond to WeddingWire staff in a timely fashion.
